Job Description

Our healthcare solutions client is looking to add a Business Analyst to their team. This hire must have previous experience supporting the healthcare industry and have Jira. The overall purpose/objective of the Business Analyst is to act as liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit feedback on requirements and perform analysis for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. The Business Analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals through collaboration with technical teams and architects to elicit technical requirements and constraints.

Responsibilities

Write business and technical requirements for planned development work; collaborate closely with Product Owners and IT development teams to ensure proper translation of requirements into solutions.

Develop key understanding of products and how the products are built; understand technical limitations and help formulate solutions that meet target timelines and organizational goals.

Troubleshoot and solve software problems; first-responder to emergent product-related data or application issues or inquiries.

Support data collection, management, reporting and analysis; perform data cleaning, extraction, processing, storage, manipulation, and analyses.

Provide key support to Account Management, Product, and Operations teams regarding data collection, analysis and prioritization of reported issues and enhancements.

Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures and product documentation.

Document system problems and subsequent resolutions for future reference.

Develop ad hoc queries and reports as needed.

Establish positive partnerships across business groups both inside and outside of the organization.

Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

Education + Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Business or Information Systems) preferred.

3 - 5+ years of experience business analyst/product/program management hybrid, in healthcare.

Must have 3+ years' experience working with healthcare claims, both medical and pharmacy.

JIRA experience.

Knowledge of SQL tool for report and application development.

Working knowledge of relevant Microsoft Office products including SharePoint.

Working knowledge of technical software delivery life cycles (Agile and Waterfall).

Strong communication skills - able to speak in both technical and user-friendly language in facilitating presentations and leading discussions across various client stakeholders.

Superior relationship and customer service skills.
